Brent Wouters, Cirrus president and chief operating officer (COO) is now also their CEO. He will replace Alan Klapmeier who will remain on the Cirrus board of directors. Klapmeier was a founder of the company.
Cirrus says Wouters was appointed CEO because of his leaner more efficient approach to company operations. “This is something crucial in these economic times.” said a Cirrus spokesperson.
Cirrus is in the process of developing a problem to cut costs and remove any product waste in order to boost first quarter profits.
After huge growth Cirrus is having to cut back on employees and manufacturing. “We just get beat up, especially over the last couple of months.” says Klapmeier
We all have witnessed Cirrus change the general aviation industry, and it appears they’ll continue to do so even in what everyone is calling a tough economic time.
