“People helping people in need” is the motto of Angel flight an awesome organization that embodies giving back to the general aviation community and uses general aviation for the betterment of the community.
What they do
Angel flight provides flights for patients needing transportation to medical centers across the country. All flights are conducted by volunteers who donate their time and aircraft to help fly these patients.

How do I participate?
Angel flight pilots must have at least a private pilot certificate and current medical. However to carry passengers you must be instrument rated and current. You need not own an airplane yet have ready access to one. You can view the pilot application here.
