Density Altitude

Density Altitude – Pressure altitude corrected for non-standard temperature variations. Air density is the single most important factor affecting aircraft performance.

Thanks for the refresher on the density altitude chart. My question is, having just completed and pass my PPL written, I see that in your example of 28.0 altimeter, you did not interpolate in converting the pressure altitude. What is the rule or your suggestion with regard to the added step?

I am a heavy jet pilot and I was very confused with this basic concept, but I found very informative and constructive your explanations. Thank you Jason. Monica Alexander
