Where Are You in Your Training?

Cut Off In The Traffic Pattern

Flying doesn’t always go as planned. Last week you enjoyed the lap around the pattern in the J3 Cub with my good friend Jamie Beckett what you didn’t see is the footage from the second lap around the pattern where we have an interesting situation with a pilot who’s first radio call was a right base for the runway we were on the upwind for! I had our team here remove the other pilots tail number out of respect for them but it goes to show you why you need to always be ready for the unexpected at pilot controlled airports. Enjoy the video – Jason I’ve been doing a lot of cub flying and many of you have asked if you could purchase one of our “cub lightning bolt” MzeroA shirts. So I’ve decided to do a very limited run of them. The shirt will only be available until this Sunday making it a true limited edition. So if you want a SUPER SOFT limited edition MzeroA Piper Cub shirt CLICK HERE or Click the image to the... read more

Stick and Rudder Flying

Aviation is a humbling experience. No matter how much experience you have it will continue to challenge you whether you’re ready or not. Thats what flying a tail dragger was like for me. I may be a tailwheel endorsed pilot but that was 6 years ago! Flying a tailwheel teaches you true stick and rudder skills. Fly along with myself and AOPA “You Can Fly Ambassador” Jamie Beckett for a landing that I would call “a bit too exciting” I was very thankful to have Jamie there as my instructor. Because even a flight instructor needs a flight... read more

Single Engine Landing

The majority of your multi engine training will be accomplished in the single engine environment. In this video we have a simulated engine failure on the downwind leg of our traffic pattern. I’ll show you our single engine landing procedure and most importantly remind you to keep flying the... read more

One place I spent a lot of time was with Jason Schappert and MzeroA. Primarily because the videography that brings you into the cockpit and shows you what you’re doing in terms of controlling the airplane, is all part of the preparation and studying that’s incredibly valuable before you even get into the cockpit of the airplane. Executive Director AOPA Foundation

I have enjoyed your online ground school. It was just what I was looking for. This course has allowed me to learn new things, keep up the knowledge part of flying and to interact with you and other pilots through the weekly workshops, monthly check rides and webinars.

I have also enjoyed and benefited from the frequent e-mails you have sent. It has also made me realize confidence in my knowledge skills and allowed me to move on to the IFR ground work I have been eager to get to. Dean Hoopengardner
